1How we protect you

  • Profiles are only visible to logged-in members.
  • We check new photos before they appear. All photos carry our logo so they cannot be copied for fake profiles.
  • Phone numbers, email addresses, links and messenger names are blocked in chat and profile texts. Contact details can only be shared by Premium members who have unlocked each other.
  • Our team reviews suspicious and reported profiles. FoundmyLove is only for people aged 18 and over.

2Recognise warning signs

  • Someone asks for money, vouchers, cryptocurrency or “help in an emergency”.
  • The person wants to move to WhatsApp, Telegram or another app very quickly.
  • Big declarations of love after a few messages, but excuses when it comes to a video call.
  • Stories that don’t add up, or offers of “safe investments”.

3Your most important rules

  • Never send money to people you only know online.
  • Don’t share bank details, passwords, ID photos or your home address.
  • Stay in the FoundmyLove chat until you really know the person.
  • Trust your gut – you don’t have to answer anyone.

4The first date

  • Meet in a public place, not in someone’s home.
  • Tell someone you trust where you are and when you’ll be back.
  • Travel there and back on your own and keep an eye on your drink.
  • If you feel uncomfortable, leave. In an emergency call the local emergency number (112 in many countries).

5Report and block

  • You can report or block any member at any time via their profile.
  • Blocked members can no longer contact you.
  • Our team reviews every report. In case of a crime, please also contact the police.
